Abstract Assemblage

Steeped in an aesthetic of decay, I intricately weave together a rich tapestry of disparaging elements through mixed media collage and assemblage, drawing on subjects of early American iconography, 18th century daguerreotypes, Native American artifacts, bones, antique guns and life casts juxtaposed with modern icons such as Chevrolet symbols, Godzilla, UFOs, miniature scenes and found mechanical components. This eclectic fusion forms a visual language that suggests the integration of past and present, history and technology, creating a dynamic interplay of cultural, historical, and contemporary motifs. Each piece serves as a visual exploration of the evolving narratives of American identity, mythology, and the human relationship with the natural world.
